The Alberti Drill Depth Stop

Here’s another elegant tool that will save you time and help prevent errors. Our drill depth stop is a quick and accurate work rest for drilling carving depth holes in the insides of partially finished top and back plates.

Attaching to the drill press table with two powerful hidden magnets, the tool is easily aligned with the machine spindle. The graduated friction ring can then be set to zero when contact is made with the end of the drill. With a 1mm pitch thread and 0.1mm graduations, the body and ring are simply screwed down to the desired plate thickness. A locking screw secures the body to ensure that it does not move, and a rubber bumper supports the work without marking.
